Manhattan Beach residents continue to rate their community among the best places to live in Southern California. The 2025 Community Opinion Survey reveals record satisfaction across safety, City services, and communication — with residents most often citing the beach community feel, ocean access, and low crime rate as what they love most about living here.
96% rate quality of life as excellent or good
94% feel Manhattan Beach is a safe place to live
87% are satisfied with the City's municipal services
81% are satisfied with City communications (up from 75% in 2021)
