Manhattan Beach, a General Law City, has a five-member City Council, elected at large to formulate policy for the city. Each member serves a nine (9) month mayoral position during their four (4) year term.
AGENDAS, MINUTES, ENOTIFICATIONS
Copies of staff reports or other written documentation relating to each item of business referred to each agenda are available for review on the City's Agendas and Minutes page, the Police Department located at 420 15th Street, and are also on file in the Office of the City Clerk for public inspection.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
The City offers different opportunities to participate in Council meetings. The City Council encourages the public to participate by submitting comments in advance of the meeting, no later than 12:00 PM, the day of the meeting, via:

All of your comments provided by the deadlines above will be available to the City Council and the public prior to the meeting.

You may also give your input on agenda items in-person. At the beginning of the meeting, or just before the agenda item, please complete the
- “Request to Address the City Council” card by filling out your name, city of residence, the item(s) you would like to offer public comment, and
- returning it to the City Clerk.

WHERE TO VIEW CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS:
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM, unless rescheduled by the City Council. Additional City Council meetings are added as needed and are subject to change in the event of a National or State holiday. Check the City Calendar to note any changes in Council Meeting schedule.
Meetings are broadcast live through
- Manhattan Beach Local Community Cable, Channel 8 (Spectrum), Channel 35 (Frontier), and
- live streaming via the City's website (the link will be available below only during live meeting).
You may view past meetings on the
- City's YouTube Channel or
- rebroadcast on Thursday and Saturday at 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM (webcast link may intermittently be unavailable due to vendor's scheduled system's maintenance) or
- on demand by selecting the date next to
