The City of Manhattan Beach is pleased to share an update on the Memorial for the Fallen public art opportunity. The application period for artists has now closed, and the project has entered the proposal development phase.

A shortlist of qualified artists has been selected through the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process, and these artists are currently developing concept proposals for the memorial. The proposed designs will be presented to the public for review and feedback toward the end of the summer.

The Memorial for the Fallen project will result in a permanent public artwork honoring service members from Manhattan Beach who lost their lives while serving in active duty. Additional project updates, including opportunities for public engagement, will be shared as the process moves forward.
