Your City, Your Voice - Make Your Priorities Heard throughout the Budget Process

The City of Manhattan Beach is pleased to announce study sessions for the proposed budgets for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026. Additionally, prior years' budget information can be found on the Finance Department's Budget  webpage.

An introduction to the FY 2026 Proposed Operating Budget was provided at the City Council Meeting on May 6, 2025. Final adoption of the FY 2026 Budget is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2025, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS: Public Comment, Participation, Viewing

PUBLIC COMMENTS:

The City continues to offer an opportunity to participate in Council meetings via Zoom.  In the interest of maintaining appropriate social distancing, the City Council encourages the public to participate by submitting comments in advance of the meeting, no later than 12:00 PM, May 6, 2025 (the day of the meeting), via:

1) eComment at http://www.manhattanbeach.gov/ecomment;

2) email to cityclerk@manhattanbeach.gov; or

3) telephone message recorded at (310) 802-5030.

All of your comments provided by the deadlines above will be available to the City Council and the public prior to the meeting.

Please complete the “Request to Address the City Council” card by filling out your name, city of residence, the item(s) you would like to offer public comment, and returning it to the City Clerk.

Please note, the City is not responsible for the public’s use of Zoom as it relates to the software, configuration, and setting on a personal device. The public is encouraged to visit the Zoom website for information on use of this software. The City’s use of Zoom is consistent with the platform features and functions as described on the Zoom website.

WHERE TO VIEW CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS:

City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM, unless rescheduled by the City Council. Additional City Council meetings are added as needed and are subject to change in the event of a National or State holiday. Check the City Calendar to note any changes in Council Meeting schedule.

Meetings are broadcast live through Manhattan Beach Local Community Cable, Channel 8 (Spectrum), Channel 35 (Frontier), and live streaming via the City's website.

To assist hearing impaired broadcast viewers, the City subscribes to closed caption services from a Certified Realtime Reporter.  The transcription of the audio cannot be certified by the City due to the creation of the document by a third party.
