Earth Month Stamp Card
Celebrate all month long by participating in Earth Month activities and events to win prizes (while supplies last).
How do I participate?
- Get your stamp card! Download and print this card or pick up a physical card at the City Hall front desk (tip: if you see the Earth Day Celebration flyer around town, the stamp card is also printed on the back!)
- Attend events or participate in the activities below and get your card stamped/stickered/initialed by event/activity staff. You may receive credit for attending multiple dates of the same opportunity (for example: visiting the Roundhouse Aquarium or volunteering at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden on multiple days).
- Redeem your prize! Bring your stamp card and pick up your prize at the Environmental Sustainability booth during the City's Earth Day Tree Planting event on April 18 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Can't make it to the event or want to keep filling your card for the rest of the month? During the month of May, bring your stamp card and pick up your prize at the City Hall front desk.
Earth Month Activities
Please note additional opportunities may be added throughout the month, so check back here for updates!
ALL MONTH - Host a neighborhood cleanup with family, friends, and neighbors. Take a photo and show us when you redeem your stamp card at the City's Earth Day Tree Planting event on April 18 or at City Hall during the month of May.
ALL MONTH - Visit the Roundhouse Aquarium Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Saturday through Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
ALL MONTH - Check out a book from at the Manhattan Beach Library's Earth Day display.
EVERY FRIDAY, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM - Volunteer at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden. Registration not required.
EVERY TUESDAY, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Attend the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market for fresh produce and local goods. Visit the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association booth to get your card stamped/initialed.
APRIL 8, 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM - Horsing Around at the Manhattan Beach Library (ages 6-12). Learn all about your favorite "neigh"-bor, the horse! Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 17, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Ollie the Otter Saves the Reef reading at the Manhattan Beach Library, followed by fun crafts and games that teach kids about ocean conservation. Families, teens, and kids are all welcome (ages 5-17).
APRIL 17 to APRIL 30 - Visit the "Ritual" exhibit at the Manhattan Beach Art Center. Opening reception will be on April 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
APRIL 18, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM - City of Manhattan Beach Earth Day Tree Planting event. Get a stamp for each booth you visit or activity you participate in. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged - RSVP here.
APRIL 22, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM - California Friendly and Native Plant Landscape Training: This class introduces participants to the core principles of sustainable landscaping, tailored specifically for California’s unique climate and ecology. Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 23, 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM - Smarty Pants Storytime at the Manhattan Beach Library (ages 2-5). Get ready for school with Earth Day themed books, songs, rhymes, and movement. Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 25, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM - BioBlitz at the Manhattan Beach Dunes: snap photos of wildlife, learn about dune ecology, and participate in dune restoration efforts. Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 25, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Keep it Green, Keep it Clean Earth Day Celebration at the Roundhouse Aquarium. Free and family-friendly event.
APRIL 20-28 - Pick up a Take-and-Make pinecone bird feeder craft at the Manhattan Beach Library during the week of Earth Day (while supplies last).
