The next regularly scheduled General Municipal Election will be held on November 3, 2026, for two City Council seats.
The nomination period for City Council candidates in the City of Manhattan Beach opened on July 13, 2026, and will close on August 7, 2026. If an incumbent does not file by the close of the nomination period, the period will be extended to August 12, 2026.

Once the County confirms candidacy, the candidates are qualified to appear on the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election ballot.
Those elected will take their Oath of Office on December 15, 2026, during the Regular City Council meeting.
