Have a Say in the Future of Two City-Owned Properties in Downtown

Project Pulse: Community Design Workshops

Post Date:05/05/2026 12:42 PM

The City of Manhattan Beach is inviting community members to help shape the future of two City-owned, downtown properties through a pair of upcoming community design workshops.

Part of the city’s “Project Pulse: Downtown MB” initiative, the free Community Design Workshops will take place over Memorial Day weekend at the Joslyn Community Center. The sessions aim to gather public input on two key sites in the heart of downtown, giving community members a direct role in the planning process.

The first workshop is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a second session on Sunday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees can drop in at any time during either session, and no prior registration is required.

Community members will have the opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate on concepts that could influence the future projects at both sites.

Light refreshments will be provided.
