Earth Day Tree Planting

The City of Manhattan Beach and Grades of Green invite the community to participate in the City's first community tree planting event on Saturday, April 18, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. 

Community members and students from each MBUSD school and American Martyrs Catholic School, lead by student Tree Ambassadors from each school, will plant a total of eight California-native western sycamore trees along the Veterans Parkway across from the Joslyn Community Center. In addition to the tree planting, there will be educational resources and activities for all ages provided by our community partners from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. 

Please arrive by 9:30 AM to allow ample time for registration. An opening ceremony with Manhattan Beach Mayor David Lesser will begin at 10:00 AM to kick off the tree planting.
