In Stop Motion Studio, students will explore the magic of animation by turning everyday materials into moving stories. Over four days, participants will design and build their own paper puppets creations and sets. Students will learn the fundamentals of stop-motion animation, including storytelling, character movement, timing, and framing. Using their phones, they’ll capture images frame by frame and watch their creations come to life on screen. This hands-on summer activity encourages creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving while giving students the freedom to work at their own pace. By the end of the session, each student will complete a short stop-motion animation they can share and be proud of.
