2026 Pumpkin Race

READY, SET, GO! Get your pumpkin racers to our 36th Annual Pumpkin Race on Sunday, October 18th! Race a pumpkin down Manhattan Beach Boulevard and take part in the spectacle of the Manhattan Beach Pier area transformed into Pumpkin Race Land, where creativity runs wild and cheaters never prosper. Enjoy fun activities for all ages, make your own pumpkin racer and feel the thrill for what promises to be the most fun and unusual Halloween event your family has ever experienced! Don’t forget to show off your costume and bring your Halloween spirit! Races begin at 2:00 PM sharp.

The 36th Annual World Famous Pumpkin Race Festival is a FREE event and will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at the Manhattan Pier beginning at 12:00 PM.

The day long Downtown Halloween Festival and Pumpkin Race will be filled with fun, excitement, surprises and laughter for all ages.

Turbo passes for the 2026 event will go on sale online October 5, 2026 at 6 AM for Manhattan Beach residents and October 12 for non-residents.

If time permits, late racers may be allowed to race for time for fun or may be allowed to race other late racers for a spot in a qualifier (if time permits and without interrupting the flow of the races).
