Known as the "Godfather of Beach Volleyball," Charlie Saikley was the man who over 50 years ago brought the Manhattan Beach 6-Man Volleyball Tournament to the South Bay.
The 2026 Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament will take place on July 31 and August 1, 2026, at the Manhattan Beach Pier from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The spirited revelry and unique costumes will continue on as part of the fun and tradition of recent years for the beach volleyball competition, with the additional element of youth participation joining the celebrated event. PARKING LOTS: Lower Pier Parking Lots (reopen Monday, August 3, 2026, 12:00 PM)
STREETS: Manhattan Beach Boulevard (MBB) from Ocean Drive to MB Pier (reopen Monday, August 3, 2026, 10:00 AM)
MBPD may close MBB from Ocean Drive to Manhattan Avenue, based on traffic congestion
FRIDAY, JULY 31, 2026, 6:00 AM – SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 2026
PARKING LOTS: Upper Pier Parking Lots (North and South) (reopen Sunday, August 2, 2026, 12:00 PM)
STREETS (starting at 5:00 AM): Ocean Drive from 11th Street to 12th Street (reopen Sunday, August 2, 2026, 6:00 PM)
