
Prepare and protect! The City of Manhattan Beach is proud to participate in the annual Great California ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake preparedness drill. On October 16th at 10:16 AM, we will conduct a city-wide drill to ensure our community is ready to respond effectively in the event of a major earthquake.
- Event Date & Time: October 16, 2025, from 10:16 AM to 10:46 AM (PDT)
- City Hall Closure: City Hall will be closed for approximately 30 minutes from 10:16 AM to 10:46 AM (PDT) during the evacuation portion of the drill, simulating a real-life evacuation scenario following a large earthquake.
