The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk rallies thousands every October for a fun-filled celebration at the beach, where families and friends gather to walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back in support of our children. Since 2009, the event has raised millions of dollars to support the Friendship Foundation and public education.

The Friendship Foundation assists children with disabilities and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational activities such as summer camps, outings, sporting events, and a variety of classes that include music, yoga, cooking, art, and drama.

Through donations, public education foundations are able to retain vital academic programs, maintain smaller classrooms, improve libraries, and upgrade school technology. The Walk also funds the Skechers Foundation’s national college scholarship program, which has awarded more than $2.4 million in scholarships to deserving students across the country since 2017.

The SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk begins next to the Manhattan Beach Pier. Participants will walk south towards the Hermosa Beach Pier for the turnaround point, then return to the Manhattan Beach Pier. The total duration of the walk is about 3.5 miles.

FREE SHUTTLE INFORMATION
Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is offering a FREE public shuttle from two remote parking lots for those attending the event on Sunday, October 19. The shuttle will run from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM from two separate lots:

• Northrop Grumman Parking Lot “R2”
  One Space Park Drive
  Redondo Beach, CA 90278
• Kinecta Federal Credit Union
  1440 Rosecrans Avenue
  Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

The parking lots will be open and free to all users (subject to space availability). The shuttles will run continuously during the hours of operation. Please allow 15-20 minutes for each shuttle to loop. The NEW drop-off location is in front of the Vons just past Valley Drive on Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Manhattan Beach. The event site is a short 5-minute walk down the hill. The shuttle back to the lots after the Walk will also leave from this location.

As many of you know, parking at the beach can be challenging. Arrive early for spots on Manhattan Avenue and check this site for lot information: www.downtownmanhattanbeach.com/mapparking. Please note: Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be closed from the Pier to Manhattan Avenue for the Pumpkin Races!
